Why Not more DVD titles

Just wondering why PC games stil come out on CD. I cant think of a new PC without DVD.

I suspect it is a cost thing.
Not many games need more than 2 CD's, CD's are unbeleivably cheap to produce, I suspect DVD's are quite a bit more expensive (still not enough to justify £15 for a film!). Unless the game would require many CD's such as Baldurs Gate it is probably not cost effective.

cost isn't much of an issue with dvds as opposed to cds.. as it stands right now there are very few games that actually flesh out the full 650-700 megs of a cd.. cd drives are a standard on all systems.. dvds aren't really yet..

only real use I could see for dvd games right now is if there is extensive use of FMV.. and that is kinda out of style..

dvd movies are actually quite cheap right now, imo.. considering all the extensive production costs that a lot of these double disk, dual layered special editions that are coming out.. one really is getting quite a bit of value for their money..
