The game is only £12, it is created by 3 people Scawen Roberts, Eric Bailey and Victor van Vlaardingen.
The game physics are much better than other racing games, the online multiplayer is great, there are some good servers and leagues you can join.
The game is continously in development so at the moment it is on version "S1" with its cars and tracks.
"S2" with more physicis, cars and tracks will be added on next year.
On the whole I find computer car games are often unrealistic, the cars either stick like glue to the road or they slide like you are on ice.
I find Live for Speed very realistic handling wise, the front wheel drive cars can understeer, the rear wheel drive cars can oversteer.
To launch properly (or burn your tyres like mad) you can old the clutch down in the first gear, rev the engine to a good RPM and dump the clutch.
I drive RWD in real life and it is surprising to have a game which feels so right.
The game graphics are fairly simple but are quite functional, the game looks great with X4 AA on my ATI Radeon 9800.
There is a demo availble with a good track and total three of the cars.
To get the last 2 RWD cards in the demo you need to win some races agains computer AI or humans in the online servers on the Internet.
