View Full Version : Sony has yet to email me to warn me about my CC potentially being compromised.
It's been well over a week now since the event, still nothing from Sony. Has ANYONE received any information about the hack directly from Sony on their PSN-registred email address - American or not - or does Sony reason that everyone will have to pick up on their CC being in jeopardy through other channels?
In either case, I'm pretty honked off. I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who just don't read the internet much and won't neccessarily hear about this.

Not specifically about this, and the thread about the PSN outage in the console forum is just monster huge and unmanageable, it's HOW many pages long now...?

Well, I still haven't. Which is why I'm interested in who has.

Yeah, I've pretty much decided to retire my PS3 forever. I only use it to play movies anyway, and it draws way too much power for that (launch unit, so prolly around 180ish watts or thereabouts, kinda unacceptable really!)

Yea , my ps3 is dead so its not hard for me to give up , i have a cheap bluray player right now and i had already decided not to buy a NGP because of the Geohot stuff . This just reinforces those choices

I got emails for my accounts today. They were tailored to be region specific. The Canadian one was bilingual. I imagine it will take them a while to get emails out.
I'd say it far more likely that they have to send 77 million of them without crashing servers probably is taking more time then translations.
I sense a marketing opportunity with all these emails :D
I haven't received one and won't since my PSN login email is a dead account I forgot to change when I ditched my old ISP and bought my own domain. I have activity monitors on all my credit cards so I'm not too worried, but it would be nice if I could hop back on PSN and find out which card I used...

Is it e-mails to everyone or just people with CC registered :?: I haven't got an e-mail yet regarding the password compromise...
To everyone. I got one and never had a CC registered with PSN.
Same here I got one Wednesday. You just happen to be lower on the list for whatever reason so haven't got it sent out yet though I'd check the spam folder just in case.
you knew this was going to happen
