Being a fan of adventure games, I recently took notice of the game "Runaway - A Road Adventure". Has anyone played it? What do you think of the gameplay, especially the puzzles?

Perhaps I should offer a quick explanation of my puzzle preferences.
In adventure games I like having puzzles that are interwoven in the world, not hovering independently of everything else. What do I mean by that?
I mean that I like puzzles of the type: I need a crew for my ship. The swordmaster will do. Then I will have to learn how to fight swordfights. Now, where's a good teacher? And so forth; you are required to think broadly.
I don't like puzzles that are, well, puzzles. Where I'm expected to align things correctly, solve chess puzzles or the like, everything detached from any connection with the surroundings.

I rather suspect that I'm not able to express myself clearly, but hopefully you get my drift.

i've played the german version some time ago. it was a nice game, not as good as some old LucasArts games, but quite good.

The Puzzles werent those annoying 7th Guest Puzzles that are just there to prolong the game without a reason.
It was more like I' need to melt the ice in the fridge, so i have to do (wont spoil you) to do A to get B and so to make C and the ice melts

Sounds decent.
I actually contemplated bringing 7th Guest up as a perfect example of what I didn't want...
On a side note, I found some 7th Guest-style puzzles in Grim Fandango, which worried me. Oh well.
