www.ve3d.com is reporting that Activision's conference call http://www.activision.com/en_US/news_listing_ir/ir_webcasts.html is saying that Doom 3 won't be out for Christmas! So much for the Nvidia Doom3/NV30 spin.

I guess this means that Half Life 2 and UT2004 will have a clear field if they arrive on time.

Is there a definite release date for Deus Ex 2? How about S.T.A.L.K.E.R., or are these all "when they're done"? I've been getting interested in Far Cry too, when's that due? I guess having Doom pushed back might give more coverage to these other titles.

ill be playing hl2,for a good while, when d3 comes out now ill be able to concentrate just on that. :_)

IIRC, Take 2 have said they don't think it will ship for this Christmas. Obviously nobody outside 3DRealms knows what's going on, and 3DR don't seem to have much of a clue either. :lol:

This doesn't necessarily mean it was delayed. Activision decided that, for financial purposes, they're not expecting it to come out this year. That has fugall to do with when it will actually come out: id will release it when they're ready.
