Okay, this is a clueless-newbie question, but we're in the beginners' forum, so you're not allowed to roast me alive for asking!!! :razz:

What exactly is the difference between DDR memory and GDDR memory?

GDDR memory stands for Graphics DDR memory. It's a type of DDR memory especially suited for graphics cards. It is designed to offer high bandwidth, but at the cost of latency and power consumption.
