So I tried Wubi for the first time. It's a Windows application that installs Ubuntu as if it was a Windows application, and lets you uninstall via the Control Panel if it's not your cup of tea. Dead easy, and a great idea if you haven't heard of it. It also doesn't mess with MBR or partitions, so there's no permanent damage.

Anyway, I tried it out and it all went well.. up until my first boot into Linux. My Logitech Dinovo kb/mouse Bluetooth combo don't work on the login screen, so I can't actually, well, log in! Do I have any options, or am I back to a Windows-only box again?

You might wanna try hooking up a usb kb and mouse and see what happens. Perhaps, you can install drivers for bluetooth once you get in.

There is definitely Bluetooth support in Ubuntu/Linux but maybe it will only work once you get logged in & configure it?
(I dunno, I don't have anything with Bluetooth)
Could be one of those Closed Source drivers things though :???:

Yeah I've read that that's a solution - apparently there is a package that you uninstall once you can get it... but I don't have a spare KB. I do have a USB mouse but that doesn't help me typing my password

Oh well, one step closer to a reliable Linux install. Maybe next round.
