Damn, I think that first link is getting hammered. Are the screenshots/video mirrored anywhere?

Any chance someone who has the .mov wants to upload it to usenet? It's likely not going to be available over http for a couple of days given that the bare mention of doom was enough to bring Anandtech & [H] down all of yesterday!

Only use this if you can't get it off Shacknews, please:

~removed, sorry~

THX...

But I wouldn't recommend you leave it there very long - likely get a big bill from NTL next month!!!

The Lost Souls look cool, but they're too obviously low-poly...

I think, the ultimate thing Carmack could do, and the one thing that would make me go out and buy DOOM3: if they (or someone) included some classic levels. Mmm... Mount Erebus in uber-graphics, anyone?

Here's another video (from HardOCP):

It looks like everything Half Life wanted to be.

Russ, thanks for the heads up, but that's the "shaky cam" version of the movie posted above.

Everything else was booked, plus I didn't want to register.

Haha, that lost souls screenshot looks like JDooM. Low poly and bumpmapping is fine, but do they really have to make the Lost Soul into a cube?

vampireuk from www.nvnews.net have posted a 2 MB video clip.

It's absolutely going to be awesome stuff. Take note of the enemies that crawl on the ceiling or those who break through the floor to attack! Will the game come with any protection against shiting in your pants is what I need to know!!!

Just d/l the 30MB+ Quicktime video from Gamespot and upon viewing it I walked out into the living room and informed the wife that I'm upgrading my P4 2.4 and Radeon 9700 Pro rig this fall. . .even if it means dipping into Megan's college fund. 8)

Umm, no. Because as a mature, caring parent who's concerned for her future I don't want my little girl exposed to such satanic tripe.
