Qualcomm Continues With AMD for the Next Generation

Qualcomm has licensed AMD's OpenGL ES 2 Imageon IP, continuing their relationship from the ES 1 generation.

This adds another Imageon 3D IP partner to a list which includes STM and Freescale.

Actually, Qualcomm have been an IP licensee much longer than this. Their initial foray into 3D acceleration into their solutions and BREW platform ran a dual track, with discrete Imageons first for their 6xxx series, and then integrating the IP into some of the 7xxx parts (IIRC). This extends the licensing to the new platform.

I did mention that this new license is a continuation of their relationship from last generation.

My last statement should've clarified that Qualcomm is adding to AMD's list of OpenGL ES 2 licensees and not just their general Imageon 3D IP licensees.
