Reactor Critical (http://www.reactorcritical.com/) has posted a very informative interview with Pierre Laine, ATI Technologies Marketing Manager. Here's a snip:

<blockquote>"Reactor Critical:Do you mean that the product is on the stage when it can be introduced?

Pierre Laine: All I can say that it is close [smiling]. But we will be here with the release at the time of DirectX 9."</blockquote>Read the full interview here. (http://www.reactorcritical.com/interview-ati-2002/interview-ati_2002.shtml)

This is a good read. Now DX9.1 seems to be the hold up or is it the .13micron technology that will hold up the show for the R300 and NV30?

I was amazed at the 120 million transistors he is hinting at.
