Yes, for the love of all that is holy, go for the warranty! I had my x1650xt sent in for RMA after just 2 months with that sucker and my warranty runs out after a year. Don't make the same mistake as me, go for the better warranty!

you sure ?
"WARRANTY PERIOD: XFX warranties hardware Product for a period of two (2) years. "

http://www.xfxforce.com/web/support/showWarranty.jspa?regionId=1&productGenerationId=788928

Although if you select europe as your location they state something different :

"XFX does not sell its Product directly to the consumer therefore the warranty for XFX Products remains the responsibility of your reseller where you purchased the Product."

Thanks all for the help. Probably I will buy the XFX 8600GT.

One last question, can this videocard be underclocked (to reduce heat generation) ? Thanks

Bought the XFX 8600GT Fatal1ty. Working great in dual-view mode.
One side is connected to a Panny plasma at 1080p, the other side to a Sony X-Black at 1280x1024.
I am still doing tests, but for now I am so happy

Thanks all
