What do you boys think? Hyperthreading still needs a little work, but provides some impressive perf. increases. However, even with HT, Athlon servers still look by far to be best bang for buck.

Yeah, I'm really impressed with the Athlon's DB performance, that short pipeline paired with high clock, P to P bus, and a decent amount of memory bandwidth really does wonders. HyperThreadin is very, very impressive, for a very small die area cost and thermal increase the performance increase is definately nice. I can't wait to see this on the desktop, now a days, multiple processes running at once is the norm and this should make the system much more responsive.
