I'm doing a project using unreal edit 3.0 to create a 3d simulation of my university faculty, I wanted to know if it possible to import gifs or whatever into the engine and use them as textures, because I wanted to use pictures of the walls and of the carpets as the textures for this level. I would also appreciate it if anyone could point me in the direction of any tutorials that showed me how to do this.


Also could anyone please tell me if it possible to create the effect of glass (transparency) in unreal edit and how I could build windows.

Just open the texture window and click import. It'll allow you to import some common formats like bmp, tga and dds. Just load all the files you need and save as a texture pack.

Are there any other tutorials that expalin how to use a mover better and how I can build a doors with a static mesh and a mover because the unreal wiki tutorial is confusing and not very indepth, it even says that it does'nt know who would use this tutorial and so it not really gonna bother, but this is really important to my project. Also I have already used the archetonic web tutorial so could anyone please put up anything else apart from those 2 thank a bunch
