If it does, that would make PS3, for someone thinking of picking one up as primarily a BRD HD movie player, ~$175 (based on the $425 being cited as a conversion of the Japanese price) more attractive than it was yesterday morning.
Of course there is also the question of how many of those they will make. . .
I'll be very interested to see reviews of PS3 *as a movie player*, by the usual suspects in the HD enthusiast world. . .
