Hey the whole of Asia only got 750!

Maybe the Sultan of Brunei bought 500 gold-plated 5800 Ultras.

And yet, I'm sure web sites will keep publishing Ultra benchmarks scores as if they were actually relevant...

So... Beyond3D shouldn't publish such a review?

I think B3D should review one. As to whether or not 5800 Ultra scores should be compared against those of readily available competitors' products. . .that's up to you, Dave, and Marco. 8)

If the card is being cancelled I would be more concerned with the 5800 not the 5800 Ultra as that will be the mainstream part.

Bingo.

The "traditional" B3D review is more a look at the technology, than comparative benchmark scores....especially against competing products.

In short: If B3D wants to avoid any conspiracy theories circulating about it, choosing a GeForceFX Ultra as the FIRST card you decide to do a "performance shoot-out" with, would be a bad move. ;)

I am very interested in B3D's take on the technology, and getting to the bottom of "how it works" in terms of AA implementation, aniso, pixel pipe configuration, and floating point support.
