I figured I might get a better response if I put this message in it's own thread. Thanks in advance for the help.

I can't seem to run the Dolphin v1.1 demo on my Radeon 9000. Here's the error...

This demo requires hardware support of N-Patches. The graphics processor
and/or drivers in this system do not meet these requirements.

If the graphics processor is an ATI RADEON 8500 or newer, please
visit ATI.COM to download the latest drivers. If you do not have
DirectX 8.1 or newer installed, visit MICROSOFT.COM/DIRECTX

This application will now exit.

At first I had both DirectX 8.1 and Catalyst 2.1 when I first received this error. Then I installed DirectX 9.0 and Catalyst 3.1 and I'm still recieving the error.

Any ideas?

Do you have Truform enabled in the driver tabs in the advanced display properties?

Thanks for the reply.

Nope. I changed it and it still didn't work. :?:

Did you reboot (changing display modes might be enough) after changing that setting?

I don't know that it is required, but it could be.

May have to reboot for that setting to take..not sure if you are running the absolute latest drivers, if not ensure you do.
There is a 1.1 version of the Dolphin Demo and version 1.0 also, may be a factor..sorry the 9000 is the only ATI card I don't have.

I thought ATI pulled npatch support on radeon 9000 besides other things like the other vertex pipe and 2nd tmu on each pixel pipe?

Yup, the Radeon 9000 doesn't support TRUFORM.

After a reboot it worked just fine. So I guess TRUFORM works on the Radeon 9000 after all. Anyway, it looks really cool. It reminded me of the first time I heard of Intel's Multi-Resolution Mesh technology.

Nope the latest CAT drivers support Truform on 9000 based cards...didn't for a while though.

Congrats.
