Does that mean I cannot use a HD-DVD/Bluray player with it? Just wondering considering the necessity of HDCP and wondering if it will work with DVi/component inputs anyway.

Component output will work if the title allows playback without down-rezzing to 540p. Currently all the Warner HD-DVDs* allow playback without downrezzing over component, but this could change with future titles.
( I think all the launch titles support 1080i output over component ).

If you have DVi with HDCP, you can get HDMI/DVI converters, which will sort you out. You just won't get HDMI sound. Which isn't usually a loss, as that should be going into your amp/receiver, right :)
