View Full Version : When you use raid 0 (stripping) can u use 1 hard drive
can you use one hard drive or do you need to have 2???
I'm sure you need to use two disks.
I'm not sure if you can use RAID in any mode with a single disk given that the RAID means Redundant Array of Independent Disks.
I suppose you could look it up on Google for a more definitive answer.
you can connect a single Disc to a (at least my) Raid controller and configure it as Raid 0, but its not really very usefull ;)[/b]
Raid 0 (stripping) requires at least 2 drives.
