I'm sure you need to use two disks.

I'm not sure if you can use RAID in any mode with a single disk given that the RAID means Redundant Array of Independent Disks.

I suppose you could look it up on Google for a more definitive answer.

you can connect a single Disc to a (at least my) Raid controller and configure it as Raid 0, but its not really very usefull ;)[/b]

Raid 0 (stripping) requires at least 2 drives.
