Radeon 9700 Pro + DX9 + CT 3.0 = No JK2?

Hey,
I've heard that others are having similar problems, but is anybody here having a problem running Jedi Knight 2 with the new ATI drivers? Trying to figure out if there is any way of fixing this, or if i'm doomed to no Jedi Knight 2... ::sob:: somebody help :)

i haven't tested JDK2 with the ATI Cat 3 drivers and a 9700 Pro

But I have tested it with DX9 and Cat 3 drivers on an 8500, and it ran just fine

Also works fine with DX9 and a SiS Xabre 600

those are the only cards i have used on it yet with DX9....

With my r8500 it runs just fine, but with an R9700pro (wXP, DX9, Cat3) i experienced heavy stuttering. And if i turned hardware-acceleration down a notch, as indicated by some to fix this problem, i had quite interesting visual artifacts.

I had stuttering with JKII and the Cat 3.0 DX9 combo. My fix was to close sys tray applets like MBM and other non essential system processes like CTFMON.

Have not had any issues with cat3, DX9, and WINXP Pro sp1. Tried to remove it and reinsta also make sure you have the latest patch installed JK2
