I saw this at Hardocp.com:

One of the most intriguing things about this video card is that it has hardware monitoring.

"The Tachyon G9700 PRO is the only RADEON 9700 PRO-based graphics card on the market with hardware monitoring! The Tachyon Graphics Monitor is a user-friendly system monitoring utility that allows the user to monitor and regulate fan, voltage, and temperature."

Here are some images of the utility that Supposedly does this:

Note that it also monitors ram temperture, C8)8)L.

Now is Tyan saying that you will be able to modify the voltage to the memory and core? If so that is my next video card ( in about two weeks that is).

From the screenshots, it doesn't look to me that they will let you actually regulate voltages or fan speed...just "monitor" them. Would definitely be cool though.

I can see voltage regulation possibly making its way into cards in the future. Not too long ago, you used to have to "hardware volt mod" motherboards in order to mess with their voltages too. ;)

my sample didn't have the working hardware monitoring

but from what i understand you will only be able to MONITOR voltage, however the fan speed will be regulated and monitored

Thats pretty cool. Now if I can figure out an easy way to regulate the voltages remotely for overclocking.

Does anyone know when these babies will be available and where? I only see one place who even list the Tyan Tackyon G9700 pro but is out of stock. Anyone?
