I'm surprised they chose X1300 (rather than X1600) for this, as gpu oomph is a factor in h.264 decode ability according to ATI.

But then if they are going to charge everyone for h.264 I suppose it won't matter anyway. Tho that is yet to be determined --if they are charging everyone or just lucky early adopters.

I was expecting an RV530-based AIW too, although RV560 might be the candidate chip now for a part in that class. Who knows. Well, Anandtech probably do I suppose :lol:

I think the AIW <Year XXXX> boards are intended to be low end, entrant boards - probably aimed a little more towards OEM's. X1600, should there be an AIW board, will probably pick up the AIW X1600 moniker.
