Wait for the GF FX or go for the Radeon 9700Pro.
The way I see it Radeon9700Pro is the smarter choice for me. RGMS AA, great quality TV-out, not that mush slower than GF FX and probably cheaper than GF FX.
But then again, drivers are very importent. thats why I cant make up my mind.
I see many complaints about the R9700 drivers, Z-buffer errors, stability issiues and stuttering. Are things really that bad. Should I wait for the GF FX since driver quality is very importent for me?

Well, the 9700 is out there. So if you are in a hurry, go get one ;).
I don't think that the drivers are that much an issue with the new Radeon series.
We don't know yet, what will be the quality of the NV30 drivers.
The only think i can tell you, if you don't need one VD in the next month, is, wait & see

Mista: With drivers/motherboard compatibility and video cards its like with women: you can be lucky or you ....... well... i guess you know what i mean...
ATIs drivers are for most people really good enough now.
But why not see for yourself? or wait? or fly to the moon for the money? (hey... i forgot you cant do that nowadays... have to wait 56 years for that).... ahh.. i get carried away again.
Truth is: no one can make this decisoin but YOU on your OWN!
Its hard, i know, but i never regretted buying the R8500. Only once or twice :)

Well, I now have a R9700Pro up and running in my computer and I'm not regretting it.
I did however have some stuttering problems, but that was due to programs running in the background.
Every game I have tried so far is working great, and the FSAA and AF quality is just awesome :D
Thanx for the inputs guys :)

If money is not a problem, definetly buy the R9700PRO. While it'll probably lose in plenty of situation to GFFX, it will still go largely on par with it on most current and future games (especially with AA & Aniso).
Otherwise, you might as well wait for GFFX or to a refreshed R300 coming sometime in the same timeperiod.
