Sorry I dislike folding@home so here I'm gonna go advertised another project. This project is designed to help find a stable path for the particle beams in the up coming Large Hadron Collider at cern. Come on we are talking about beams up to 1148 TeV thats massive.

Interesting, looks like their goal is to run a Monte Carlo Markov Chain to examine the best way in which to run the machine when it does go online.

*bump*

Also you can help search for gravity waves http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/
and of course ET http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/

All on the one client.

Also there are a bunch of gay project similar to folding at home like
http://www.malariacontrol.net/
http://boinc.bio.wzw.tum.de/boincsimap/
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/
http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/
http://biology.polytechnique.fr/proteinsathome

even maths ones
http://abcathome.com/
http://dist.ist.tugraz.at/cape5/

You can set the priority of the projects and stuff. So please come join the light side and stop using the dark side of the force. Use boinc for the greater good of many projects rather then one silly protein folding one which you lot are justing COMPETITING IN.
