we posted that on other forums, Democoder, you are the first person EVER who has found that even the least bit funny(and not because its Mario or Nintendo, just because, its friggen lame and unfunny).
Even the most hardcore xbox fan has not found that even remotely funny(unless maybe you stop it within the first 15 seconds)
It was funny for a bit, then it got old pretty fast. I was expecting a good ending, but it sucked.

It's well done on a technical side, but really lacks the punch. Kinda like a bad strip of Penny Arcade, although there has been way more time spent on this :\

If I took my 4 year old niece, and asked her to write up a funny script for a GC bash, this is about what she would come up with.
it came off lame, and the fact MS actually hosts it on the Official Xbox site, makes them look pathetic..
(hehe, we are so clever, we have a robot, and it scares mario and says, "pansies", isnt that funny?)
It was classic until the robot

its patheticly bad, I dont think one has to feel strongly to look at something and think, damn, that is PATHETIC, I have done so to every Leo Dicaprio film trailor I have ever had to sit through(laughed out loud at the Beach and Gangs of New York), I dont think it takes much passion or effort to do so.
I just think a lot of people seem mortally offended by it, which tends to be funnier than the animation itself. :wink:
It's not pathetically bad, I think it was just poorly executed. They could have done a much better job, but you'd still find it pathetic since it's making fun of something you really like.

The ending was stupid. It would have been better if they replaced the robot with a recognizable character. Even the Master Chief would do, although I don't think he'd ever call anyone a 'panzy'.

How come all of a sudden CaptainHowdy cares allot about this just because he thinks its pathetic? DemoCoder thinks its hilerious, so does he also cares too much about it too?
The video isn't very funny really and its sort of pathetic that MS would have it on there official site. In fact that's actually the funniest thing about the video, the sheer obsurdity of MS having it on there site.
The responses here are even more funny than the skit.
I'm pretty sure it was made to look "poorly executed", however I think it captures the fruit grabbing, turtle flipping gayness that is Nintendo gaming perfectly.

Firstly I plead innocence since I only used that word 3 times in this whole thread and one of those times was in reference to someone else using it. Secondly I bring to the courts attention the fact that I am in no way shape or form an American therefore I not only cannot use up your quota of that word but I also cannot be tried in an American court.

Who's taking what seriously? All people have done is give an opinion on what they think of that Mario piss take on MS's site. Wether they think its funny, not funny or a pretty sad effort from MS, there all just calm opinions, I don't see anyone ranting and raving about how terrible this is.

I thought the caricatures they used were spot on.

Its funny that when one person expresses their opinion that this is funny that person apparently doesn't care about it. But when someone else says they think its pretty unfunny and MS look sad for even putting it up there apparently that person does care about it and is somehow "making a big fuss over it".. hypocrisy anyone?

I really that think the only people getting offended here are some XBox fans (not talking about you). Maybe because they didn't like some of the earlier comments like the fact that MS have this on there official site is really funny in itself in a sad sort of way.
The only slightly funny thing about that video is the Super Double Sunny World title, that was sort of amusing, but the rest was pretty crappy and unfunny. Averall the main thing I think after watching that is how sad is that?, to have a video like that on the official site of a huge corporation like MS, this is also the reaction I got from everyone I showed it too at college, and most of them don't even play computer games so they are certainly not Nintendo fans.

As for the video, well as you can see from my first post, before the XBox brigade stormed in, I've shown I don't care about it in the least. Infact none of my posts have shown any emotion at all towards the video.. why would they, its only a harmless video.
Oh sorry, I shouldn't have said that. After all you do like the video allot so I wouldn't want to hurt your feelings there by playing down the huge quality and significance of this video :)

I have not posted any sort of flame about this, saying its pathetic and is sort of a sad thing for MS to have on there site is just an opinion. Its not said with any malice or annoyance.. so why do you think it means that I care about it? I do not need to care about the video at all to have that opinion as its a pretty obvious and common one from what I've seen. He did not say that personally he thought a fat kid with acne was a loser, it was all within the context of the analogy (in this case a school class room). Like it or not that's almost guarenteed to be how allot of the class will think of a fat kid with acne, hey what can I say kids can be cruel.

Teasy is right, you have to look at the analogy in proper context. Whether you like it or not, kids (well, actually, people in general) can be snots, and that is really the stuff you'll see in schools. Howdy saying it doesn't mean that is the way he feels towards people who wear B5 shirts or who are overweight. You know, the need for acting mature goes both ways...
And yes, even considering that, I would consider it a bad analogy.
Anywho, I haven't seen the video, so if anyone has a link to where I could download it...or maybe I can just get it off Kazaa or something. If is just a rip on Mario Sunshine (which I consider a great game), as funny as it might be, it is not something I think belongs on an official website.
