From this article:

-PS3 CPU will be produced in 65nm SOI on 300mm wafer
-XDRAM is in PS3
-PS3 GPU will be produced in 65nm without SOI + EDRAM on 300nm wafer
-PS3 GPU is not NV40 class chip; it is based on a new architecture
-Xenon will be based on 90nm tech
-There'll be e-dram on GPU, but it will also be able to access the main RAM pool.

The link was posted in that unfortunate but thankfully locked thread. However this is not official news. The writer is only speculating. Like Mr Paul Zimmons he does it in a logical manner.

I am not even sure this is news. I believe Nvidia already stated that the PS3 GPU would be based on a GeForce chip they are working on. So it wont be a NV 40 class chip. I am not sure about everything else. I know there has been a lot of talk about the troubles getting down to 90nm; one has to wonder with the talk of development cycles getting longer and the issues facing 65nm if this will be plausible for 2006. STI are pretty talented, so I would guess yes. But waitng until we hear more offical word seems like the best thing to do because we could speculate all day long. Someone even speculated the PS3 CELL would come in at 45nm in 2006 :!: I guess we will know more soon :)

Thanks for making a new thread for something already covered. Locked.
