Hey all!
Got new g4 4200ti recently. Love it!! SUCH an improvement over voodoo3. However, - LOVE Unreal tournament and some mods, but cant find 2nd CD to install s3tc textures. I have 2 copies of UT (one an oem version, that didnt come w/ 2nd cd, and the other I can't find. Seriously!! Can ANYONE pllllleeeezzzzzzzzz send me a zip of the hi-res textures?? Heard I would have significantly improved performance and better visual quality. Email me or respond here, and I'll give you another address that can handle large attachments. Thanks so much!!

U should know that this is not a warez board, so u can't ask for such stuff.

Besides, the S3TC textures CD is 600+mb!

Dear Alexsok-
Yes, I understand - thank you. But I didn't consider it warez since I own the game and don't NEED the game, just the texture files. Do the tex. files actually take up the entire second CD? Just desperate and don't know where else to post. thanks. Anyone else willing, please let me know! Thanks!

Pretty much, yes. You are asking someone to send you a ~600MB email, with my connection that would take me about fifty hours just to upload(aint gonna happen ;) ).

Heard I would have significantly improved performance and better visual quality.

Both are true. You need to latest UT patch that supports S3TC and then you need to modify your UT.ini file(after you have the files you need). Can't you pick up UT for like $10 now? I'd go that route if I were you. Don't know if it will still hold up to the most recent titles, but here is one comparison in terms of visuals-

These are all with a GeForce DDR, your Ti should be significantly faster as long as you have a decent CPU and enough RAM(I'd reccomend 256MB or more).

hey skywalker!

Thanks for responding anyway. Understand about the files. Yeah, might be best bet (or just wait for ut2k3 now anyway, right? lol.) Appreciate the info anyway. ---Byskii
