Could you add to the banned words: nazis and hitler ? I think people would try to think further if they just can't use theses words as an absolute argument.

Is that gonna change how people think of other people? just by banning particular words, nothing much is gonna change. In the end, one would want to have a normal discussion on WW2 without the need to write Naz|s or H|t1er all the time...

People will always find a way to try to offend others. The problem is the people, not the words.

Do you even know what "nazi" means ?

It stands for National Socialism, values that are widespreads in europe and throughout the world, the fact that a crazy dictator (Hitler) used this label to hide the dictatorship truth of his system isn't a reason to consider "nazi" as being "evil" it's rather stupid even.

It's like saying communism sucks... there has been NO communist country, but some dictators did hide dictatorship by sticking a nice "communism" name upon it.
Just like wars are made for "freedom" those days, even though we all know that wars are made for only one reason : economics.

on a side not the cross used by nazis is a 3000 years old symbol for luck and good fortune, there's no reason why you should not be able to paint a giant one on your house if it please you.
(In here I believe you would have problems with the law if you did that, not even counting human stupidity, which einstein said is the only thing he is sure is infinite. )

It is a valid word/term/description/whatever, so it stays. The onus is simply on us (the mods) to ensure the word is not used improperly.

totally agree. It just seems, though, that it takes a while to get some mod action. Any chance of more mods being selected.

and we can use things like double-speak, and thought-crime, and stuff!!
If we get rid of the bad words, people will be good!
