View Full Version : Building a PC - have a quick question

Alright I'm building a modest Duron system but I need some quick help. You know those case LED connectors you connect to the mobo such as the hdd/reset/power LED's and so on...each connection has 2 wires, one positive+, one negative-. Of the 2 wires, one wire is colored and the other is white.(ie. orange/white, green/white etc..) Is the colored wire the positive+ or is the white wire positive+ ? Or is there not any general rule to that? Because I cant find it in any of the paperwork I have here. Thanks in advance.

Not sure, but how hard could that be to plug them one of them in, and if they dont work just flip them?

Many of those wires, the color methods do not coincide with standard electrical AC/DC wiring.
As far as the reset and power on leds go...they can go anyways...since they just to connect and make a circuit.

usually, in the cases i have built, the little black thingies have +'s and -'s on them. However, colored wire is usually positive, IIRC
